Gree President Dong Mingzhu said: “Hongmeng operating system will be introduced into Gree in the future.”
According to the report, Gree is one of the world’s top 500 Chinese traditional home appliance companies and the company with the largest market share in China’s air-conditioning market. Because the company also develops smart phone business, it is very likely that Hongmeng system will be applied to smart phones. The Chinese industry generally believes that Gree’s use of the Hongmeng system is of great significance to the Chinese home appliance market. Previously, Chinese smartphone company Meizu also stated that it will use the Hongmeng system in its smart home product group.
At present, Midea, Smith, Panasonic, Haier, Fangtai, Supor, 360, Gree and many other companies have connected to Hongmeng, and have successively released products equipped with Hongmeng system. According to Huawei’s plan, Huawei’s own equipment will be upgraded this year. HarmonyOS is expected to exceed 200 million units. At the same time, HarmonyOS will cover more than 100 million devices from 40+ mainstream brands.
On the evening of June 2, Huawei officially released HarmonyOS 2 and many new products equipped with HarmonyOS 2. This also means that “mobile phones equipped with HarmonyOS (Hongmeng)” has become an official product for the market.
Earlier, Huawei has announced that “hundreds” of devices such as Huawei mobile phones and tablets will successively start HarmonyOS 2 upgrades. Including HUAWEI Mate 40 series, Mate 30 series, P40 series, Mate X2, nova 8 series, MatePad Pro series and other equipment.
